Richard J. Pilarski
Executive Director

Rick Pilarski is a business executive and management consultant whose prior experience includes entrepreneurial and corporate responsibilities as Managing Director of SHP, Inc., a management consulting/investment banking firm, President of Intellico, Inc., Robotics, Inc. and Unatco, Division of Steego Corp.  In a management career spanning more than thirty years, Mr. Pilarski has held a variety of positions in engineering, sales, marketing and general management at Allen-Bradley NC Systems, Ace Controls and Micromatic Hone Division of Excello Corp.

Rick has served as a director of four industrial firms, several community boards, and the Skidmore Business Advisory Council and has lectured at various universities in the Albany New York area. He has been a member of the faculty at SUNY Empire State College since 1992, teaching in the areas of ethics, entrepreneurship, organizational change, and strategic management.
 
Rick has published various articles on automation, robotics and management topics, holds two U.S. patents and studied mechanical engineering prior to receiving a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Detroit and a master’s in business and policy studies from the State University of New York’s Empire State College.

Robert M. Lantis
Founding Partner & Chief Technical Officer

Bob Lantis is a technologist, inventor, and product innovator whose experience includes VP  & CTO of LightStream Technologies, private consulting practice to industry, Chief Engineer of Lasertechnics, Director of Manufacturing for Tissue Technologies, and Laser R&D Engineer for Northrop Corporation and XMR.   Over a 30+ year career of progressive multi-disciplined experience, Mr. Lantis contributes a background that includes: entrepreneurial start-ups; innovative product development; technical and engineering management; UV light processing technologies for photo-chemical remediation of water and air; high-voltage pulsed power and electro-optics engineering; award-winning product innovation expertise; Intellectual Property value-building; and XO and boardroom experience.

Bob is actively affiliated with numerous professional societies involved with water; environment; electrical, optical, and pulsed power engineering; and has served on industry technical advisory committees.  Mr. Lantis holds several patents and applications, and has authored/co-authored several published articles in the areas of water remediation and high-voltage pulsed power engineering.  His education includes the University of Maryland, Smith Business School- Fellows in Entrepreneurship; University of California, San Diego- Management, Physics, Laser Engineering; and West Chester University of Pennsylvania- Music Education.
