The Need for AquaPurix™

Less than 1 percent of the world’s water is accessible and suitable for human consumption. And our available water resources are decreasing at a time when world demand for water is about to explode.

Because industrialization is so dependent upon adequate water supply, developing nations are scrambling to feed their pumps and do so in ways their young economies can afford. These developing nations presently lack the resources to re-use whatever water they consume, thereby creating a worsening supply-and-demand situation.

As a result, “The Century of Oil” is quickly giving way to “The Century of Water.” As has been the case with oil over the past century, a region’s access to water, and the distribution, quality, and cost of water will drive local economies and standards of living. Our collective future will be inextricably linked to our relationship with water, for which we will have to increasingly pay more.

Meanwhile, regulatory pressures are increasing upon those who must provide safe water. The most recent water guidelines and regulations promulgated by the U.S. EPA are forcing water industry professionals to plan for more stringent requirements being phased in over the next decade. The situation is becoming more intense due to a decreasing usable water supply which is forcing the re-use of dirty water (e.g., California Title 22 water regulations).

Clearly, the world needs technologies that safely and affordably clean and re-use our dwindling water supply. AquaPurix™ is such a solution.
